‘போட்டி போட்டு’ தமிழ் வளர்க்கும் இளையரும் சிறாரும்

தமிழ் மொழி மாதத்தை துடிப்போடு தொடங்கி வைத்தனர் மாணவர்கள். தமிழர் பேரவையும் பீஷான் சமூக மன்ற இந்தியர் நற்பணிச் செயற்குழுவும் இணைந்து நடத்திய தொடக்கநிலை, உயர்நிலை மாணவர்களுக்கான ஆண்டின் மிகப் பெரிய தமிழ் மொழி இலக்கிய, கலைப் போட்டிகளில் 847 மாணவர்கள் ஆர்வத்துடன் பங்கேற்றனர் என்பது ஒரு சிறப்பு.

நிகழ்ச்சியை ஏற்று நடத்தியவர்கள் இளையர்கள் என்பது மற்றொரு சிறப்பு. அதற்கும் மேலாக பிள்ளைகள் தமிழ் நிகழ்ச்சிகளில் ஈடுபட பெற்றோர் பெரும் ஆதரவு அளித்தது மிகச் சிறப்பானது.

பீஷான் சமூக மன்றத்தில் நேற்று நடந்த போட்டிகளில் வெற்றி பெற்றவர்களுக்கான பரிசளிப்பு விழாவுக்கு ஏராளமான பெற்றோர் சிறு பிள்ளைகளையும் கூட்டிக் கொண்டு வந்திருந்தனர்.பேச்சுப் போட்டியிலும் கதை சொல்லும் போட்டியிலும் மாணவர்கள் அர்த்தம் பொதிந்த கதைகளையும் கருத்துகளையும் எடுத்துச் சொல்லி பார்வையாளரின் சிந்தனைக்குத் தீன¬ ஊட்டினர்.

கொஞ்சும் தமிழ்ப் பேச்சால் சிறுவர்கள் அனைவரையும் கொள்ளை கொண்டனர்.குடிகார தந்தையினால் ஒரு குடும்பம் சீரழிவதைச் சித்திரித்த சோங் பூன் உயர்நிலை பள்ளி மாணவர்களின் நாடகம் “நல்ல குடும்பம் பல்கலைக்கழகம்’’ என்ற கருத்தை வெளிப்படுத்தியது. இசையும் நடனமும் நிகழ்ச்சிக்கு மேலும் சுவையூட்டியது. ‘ஆத்திச்சூடி’ என்ற பிரபலமான பாட்டைப் பாடிய மாணவருக்கு பலத்த கரவொலி கிடைத்தது.அதேபோல் ராஃபிள்ஸ் பெண்கள் பள்ளி, சோங் பூன் உயர்நிலைப் பள்ளி மாணவிகளின் நடனமும் பார்வையாளர்களின் பாரட்டைப் பெற்றது.

National Schools Challenge

The Youth Wings of Tamils Representative Council and Bishan Indian Activity Executive Committee jointly organised the largest Tamil Arts and Literary competition of 2010; Tamil Language Festival National Schools Challenge.

Supported by Tamil Language Council, and Tamil Language Learning and Promotion Committee, this competition received an overwhelming participation of 847 students, from both Primary and Secondary schools from all over the island.

The Tamil Language Festival National Schools Challenge consisted of two components, the Competition Round and the Performance Round. The top three winners from the Competition Round showcased their talents on the 3rd April at Bishan Community Club, where the Individual and the Overall Category winners were announced.

After two months of intense preparation, the enthusiastic students arrived at Bishan Community Club on the 13th and 14th March to compete in our flagship categories such as Public Speaking, Storytelling, Singing, Essay and Poetry Writing categories, and to participate for the first time ever in our Dance and Drama categories at Umar Pulavar Tamil Language Centre on the 20th and 21st March.

With the coverage from the media (Tamil Murasu, Vasantham’s Tamil News, and Oli 96.8FM), and positive feedback from Tamil Community Leaders, Teachers, and Parents, TRC Youth Wing will continue to strive to provide students with more quality programs, and thus will jointly be organizing a Motivational Workshop in September for Primary and Secondary students.
