Inter-School Tamil Public Speaking Competition

The Youth Wing of the Bishan East Indian Activity Executive Committee (IAEC) and Tamils Representative Council jointly organized the 2nd Inter-School Tamil Public Speaking Competition at Bishan Community Club. The Preliminary Round and Final were held on 16 and 30 August 2008 respectively.

The 2nd Inter-School Tamil Public Speaking Competition has allowed the participants to discover innovative ways to view and express their thoughts on the given themes and topics. Furthermore, it encourages them to articulate their opinions in a clear and concise manner. Most importantly, speaking Tamil publicly will build their confidence and inculcate the love of speaking the language.

The competition was a huge success this year with more than hundred participants from all over the island represented their school.
