PROGRESS WITH
TAMIL
ESSAY COMPETITION PRIZE PRESENTATION
AWARD CEREMONY
As part of this
year's Tamil Language Festival, the Tamils Representative
Council had organised a forum, Progress with Tamil on 18 April
2009 at the MDIS Auditorium. More than 600 Students and Teachers
had participated and benefited from the event.
As a follow-up to
the Forum, TRC had organised a essay writing competition for
Primary and Secondary students to encourage students to give
more thoughts to the issues raised by the speakers and the Q&A
that was held. This was also to ensure that students had taken
away positive thoughts on the session.
Many students who
sent in their essay for the competition, 11 students from
Primary level and 8 students from Secondary level were awarded
cash prizes on Saturday 15 August 2009 at Ceylon Sports Club,
101 Balestier Road.
