Good news for members of the Tamils Representative Council, its Affiliate Organization members and members of the TRC Multipurpose Cooperative Society.

Qualified Lawyers

TRC has commenced a legal clinic which provides free basic legal advice and information. Qualified Lawyers are available for consultation on a one-to-one basis. TRC started this clinic to assist members who need advice on personal matters and or business matters pertaining to the laws of Singapore. All sessions are limited to 15 minutes per person and will be kept confidential.

All advice and information given at these sessions shall be as a matter of guidance and comfort only and is not intended to replace, substitute or supplement legal advice and any legal action that may be needed in each case. The volunteer lawyers are bound by law not to act any further for those attending these free legal clinics.

Members, who wish to seek help, must first register before they can attend the Legal Clinic. To register, please visit our office or send an email to make an appointment. The legal clinic will be held on every 2nd Monday of the month from 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm. Attendance is strictly by prior registration only. Walk-In cases will not be entertained. The Registration Form must be received by TRC by the 25th of each month.

Members who are attending must bring their Identity Cards and all relevant documents pertaining to their matter. There are no fees involved, but all members must sign an Indemnity Form stating that you will not seek any damages or claim for the advice given at the legal clinic.
 

Legal Clinic in Tamil and English

Members must be present 15 minutes before the allocated time. If a member misses an appointment, he must re-register for another session. The legal clinic will be conducted in Tamil and English only. Where necessary, TRC Management Members on duty will assist in referring you to where you can get further help.
